MSc DRAP Students Participate in the 9th Pharmaceutical Innovation and Investment Conference
From November 30 to December 1, 2024, students from the MSc DRAP program actively participated in the 9th Pharmaceutical Innovation and Investment Conference held in Guangzhou.
This prestigious event, initiated by the China Pharmaceutical Innovation and Research Development Association, is one of the most influential platforms that bridges the pharmaceutical and investment communities in China. With the theme of enhancing innovation through the integration of capital and research, the conference brought together policymakers, R&D leaders, investors, and pharmaceutical companies from around the globe.
During the conference, the MSc DRAP students had the opportunity to attend keynote speeches, panel discussions, and networking sessions that focused on cutting-edge topics, including global drug development trends, regulatory frameworks, and investment strategies in biotech innovation. Their participation enabled them to gain valuable exposure to the real-world intersections of drug development, policy, and finance—core aspects of their academic training.
This engagement not only broadened the students’ industry perspectives but also strengthened the connection between HKUST and leading stakeholders in China's pharmaceutical innovation ecosystem. The experience serves as a significant step for DRAP students in understanding the strategic direction of future pharmaceutical development and in preparing themselves to contribute meaningfully to the sector upon graduation.
