The workshop on the Introduction to GMP Inspections, hosted by MSc Program in Drug Regulatory Affairs and Policy at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, was successfully launched today!

The workshop featured an engaging presentation by Dr. Zhigang Sun, Group Senior Vice President at Luye Pharma Group and Adjunct Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. In his keynote address, Dr. Sun—who oversees global drug product development, quality (GLP/GCP/GMP compliance), and pharmacovigilance (GVP compliance) at Luye Pharma—shared valuable insights with attendees.

The workshop was a resounding success, attracting approximately 100 participants both in person and online. Distinguished attendees included representatives from the Department of Health, HKBMIA President Prof. Yuk Lam LO, Prof. Karl TSIM (Chair Professor, Division of Life Science, HKUST), Dr. Gina JIANG (Director, Hong Kong Institute of Biotechnology), Dr. Lit-Fui LAU (CSO, Zhaoke Ophthalmology Pharmaceutical), and Mr. Wayne TAN (Head of Bio-Medical and Healthcare, HKUST Office of Knowledge Transfer).
